In the 30th year of Jesus’ life, we all went to the river, Jesus heading His apostles. When we arrived, we saw John the Baptist , with his long and disheveled hair, very humble clothes, skinny. He was preaching on a high rock to a few persons…..there were some shepherd kids.
Jesus comes into the water, alone…..the water starts to move around Him like cold-boiling. Then I realize that the water is “dancing” around Him because of the joy of having Jesus in it. The water gets some glow. The blue sky takes a lighter shade like golden/white.
John the Baptist is full of emotion and humbleness. He says some words and helps the Master to submerge completely for a moment. When He emerges, the energy we feel is like a volcano in eruption….something great has been born. Jesus smiles. He approaches to us, comes out of the river with His clothes soaked. The water drops that fall shine with fluorescence and last a while before being absorbed by the soil. I can notice this phenomena even though the daylight.
Peter and John help Him coming out, all surround Him, I stay on my knees watching the scene, stunned. Then, He turns His head back and down to look at me. His eyes are bigger and brighter than ever. His lips show a slight smile, of love. He stares at me like saying: yes you can….you too can, I will be with you…..and He goes with the others.
